Timelines TV – There IS a US version!
It was almost a year ago that I first wrote about Timelines TV, a wonderful online video resource that focused on British history. The site is based on a BBC television show of the same name created by a guy named Andrew Chater.
I thought it provided some great resources for World history teachers here in America
but was disappointed that there wasn’t any stuff on the US.
And now . . . great news! The site has just posted a new section online that deals with the American West. You’ve got a choice of seven different periods during the 1800s with video clips, transcripts for download and lots of oral histories.
So . . . if you’re looking for some useful video clips to supplement your US history instruction, the Britsh history guy has you covered!
